About Scrum

Scrum is an agile process framework that breaks down a complex project into smaller stages and reviewing and adapting at each stage. The original term comes from rugby and refers to a player formation the team forwards. As a process framework, Scrum has seen use across a diverse set of industries including defence, automotive, and software development. Some notable organizations include Bank of America, American Express, Adobe Systems, Google, IBM, and Yahoo.

The CSM certification is a widely recognized, foundation level certification from Scrum Alliance, certification holders are usually involved in helping their teams learn and implement Scrum.

Who should get certified?

The CSM certification is ideal for project/ product delivery team members, functional managers, executives and anyone interested in or working with a scrum process. There's no work profile related eligibility criteria involved, and getting certified requires you to attend a formal CSM training event, clear the CSM exam, and accept a license agreement.
