Description

The Instructor-led training variants (Traditional Classroom, Live Online Training) involve immersive, in-depth reviews of the domains and tasks detailed in the PMP Exam Content Outline. The Online Self-learning variant features in-depth videos, simulated tests, and other study aids created in-house by an expert team of certification holders. Note that the Online Self-learning variant is included by default in your registration for the Traditional Classroom and the Live Online Training variants.

Course Outline

The curriculum for all course variants covers the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) version 6 completely, as well as additional tasks, knowledge and skills that are part of the certification exam. Specifically for participants of our Instructor-led training variants, we conduct an additional hands-on examination review as a live online class once every month. This review session involves an expert taking up a simulated test live while showing you the how and why behind answering each of the 200 questions. A: The following are the basic eligibility criteria for the PMP Certification:

A: A PMI REP or Registered Education provider is an organization that has undergone a stringent review of the quality of training delivery by PMI and has been recognized by PMI to assign pre-approved professional development units or PDUs to PMP credential holders. You should attend training programs at PMI R.E.P.s as this assures you of the quality of the training delivery and gives you a learning experience that is in line with the coverage of the actual PMP exam. Each PMP® certification cycle lasts for three years during which you will need to earn 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) to renew your certification at the end of the cycle.

The PMP certification exam is based on the PMP Exam Content Outline. The exam content outline categorizes questions into 5 Domains - Initiating (13%), Planning (24%), Executing (31%), Monitoring and Controlling (25%), and Closing (7%). Each domain consists of multiple Tasks that a project manager performs. All of these domains and associated tasks are described in detail in the PMBoK.

A: The PMP exam is composed of 200 multiple choice questions. Out of these 200 questions, 25 questions are pre-test. The time allotted is four hours.

The PMBoK v6 covers project management best practices under 5 Process Groups - Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing), and 
10 Knowledge Areas (Project Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Schedule Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Resource Management, Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management, Project Procurement Management, Project Stakeholder Management). A total of 
49 Processes are mapped across process groups and knowledge areas.

What has changed from PMBoK v5 - 2 Knowledge Areas have been renamed - Time Management to Schedule Management, and Human Resource Management to Resource Management. There are now 49 processes from the earlier 47. 3 new processes have been added - Manage Project Knowledge, Implement Risk Response, and Control Resources, and 1 process have been removed - Close Procurements. Further, 9 processes have been renamed.
 This an increased Agile focus, with a separate section in each knowledge area titled Approaches for Agile, Iterative and Adaptive Environments. Finally, 
1 new chapter has been added on the role of the project manager in relation to the PMI Talent Triangle.
